Keren E. Gesund
Keren Gesund is a consumer protection attorney, who helps people in financial distress. She defends people getting sued by their credit card companies and sues debt collectors who harass consumers during collections. She also helps remove false items from credit reports.
Ms. Gesund graduated law school in 2007 from the University of California at Davis. She then returned home to her native Las Vegas, Nevada where she practiced general civil litigation. In 2011 Ms. Gesund moved to New Orleans, Louisiana and worked for a mid-sized firm defending debt collectors. After spending a couple of years learning consumer protection law from the side of the debt collector, Ms. Gesund started her own practice exclusively representing consumers. Having represented debt collection companies, Ms. Gesund is uniquely situated to understand both sides of the conflict, and prepared to address common mistakes made by debt collection agencies.

Carrie H. Pailet
In 2014, Carrie H. Pailet joined forces with Keren Gesund to form Gesund & Pailet, APLC.
Drawn to the multitude of issues facing our elderly population and with a desire to provide services that are both comprehensive and compassionate, in 2012 Carrie Pailet founded the firm of Carrie H. Pailet, APLC, in Metairie, Louisiana, where her area of practice focused on elder law, including estate planning and successions.
In addition to being an attorney licensed in Louisiana, she is also a licensed clinical social worker, where her area of practice has focused on the field of gerontology. Ms. Pailet is a member of the Louisiana Elder Law Task Force and serves on the boards of Louisiana Guardianship Services, Inc. and the Bruce J. Heim Foundation.
Ms. Pailet earned her B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her M.S.W. degree from Tulane University School of Social Work, where she served as a representative for the School of Social Work on the Graduate and Professional Student Association. Ms. Pailet earned her J.D. degree from Loyola University New Orleans, College of Law, where she was a member of Moot Court and Loyola’s Journal of Public Interest Law.
